I covered The Far Off Broadway Players’ production of ‘A Christmas Story’ and golly, what a show! The cast, crew, and director Paul Glodfelter did a phenomenal job bringing this film-to-stage adaptation to life.

I’m excited to share I’ve been cast in the first show of the 2025 Season, ‘The Bunco Squad,’ so I’ll be trading the camera in for a mic.

I’m happy to share my coverage of the Christmas parade this year! I can definitely say this was the longest parade I’ve seen, which makes sense given that I heard Glasgow has the largest Christmas parade in the state of Kentucky.

I attended with my own family in tow so I wasn’t able to solely focus on taking photos and be sure to get photos of everything, but I got a pretty good portion in between keeping the baby warm enough and stopping our eldest from running out in the road for candy…

Thankful season is in full swing here— this past weekend was full of cheer at Acres of Grace Farms in RBS, TN for A Southern Marketplace Christmas Market. I did a little caroling, a lot of photographing, and very excitingly worked with Santa to bring some joy to littles and their loved ones!
I have about 12 sale sessions + a regular mini session or so to get through by next week, so if you need me, I’ll be in Adobe LR, adjusting brightness and making it look like the awkward folks in the background of photos don’t exist…if you don’t get my reference we can’t be friends…(jk)!

Cherokee Hope Music
In a little town in Tennessee, like many others, there grew a little girl who loved to sing. Not many however, have the talent, tone, and tenacity that she brings to every performance.
In a little town in Tennessee, like many others, there grew a little girl who loved to sing. Not many however, have the talent, tone, and tenacity that she brings to every performance.
Her name is Cherokee Hope, and in just the past few years I have watched this girl, her guitar, and her dream blossom into an outstanding singer & songwriter in the Upper Cumberland and country music scene of Middle Tennessee.
She & I share roots in Clay County, so when she set out looking for someone to help her with some new branding photos, I didn’t hesitate to let her know I’d be happy to help— we small town ladies gotta stick together and help where we can!
We met up at Chestnut Grove Market back in late July for a little jam session and I grabbed some headshots and some footage for her song, Treasures Untold, which I am working on turning into a music video for her to feature on her own sites, and hope to share with you soon.
I am still learning the ways of film and basic cinematography (it’s amazing how something so related to photography is so different), so I appreciate her trusting me with this project!
Her tone and overall sound reminds me of classic, mid-century country, like you’d hear on the radio from the Opry— very genuine and old school, and just the right amount of rough around the edges.

Last month I got to photograph The Far Off Broadway Players’ production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors” at the Plaza Theatre (Glasgow, KY).
I got to cover The Far Off Broadway Players’ production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ last month! Though I’m in the trenches of advertising for Christmas, I wanted to take a moment to share some of my favorites from this spooky, Halloween-time show before Thanksgiving.
This was one of my favorite shows to photograph so far— I loved the colorful lighting and set, and I thought the cast and crew did a fantastic job!

The best way to capture the best work for you is to know you, and the best way to know you is to work with you! Each of my wedding packages includes a 30 Minute Engagement Session Package for this very reason. It gives us the chance to hang out, see what you’re comfortable with, and practice poses you might like to do the day of the wedding.

Wedding Day Coordination
It’s my job as your photographer to capture all of the important moments during your wedding, and to do that I need to know when they’re happening. Whether you already have a wedding planner and vendors lined up or you’re lining it all up yourself, about a month before your wedding I’ll call or meet with you to go over what the day will look like and create a photo itinerary based on your vision and any special ceremonies or circumstances we need to prioritize. I am more than happy to assist if you need helping figuring it all out.

4-6 Week Turnaround Time
There are lots of special moments during your day, and I try to capture all of it, which means there are also lots of photos for me to go through when the party’s over! I know you are excited to see them so I do my best to get through them as quickly as I can while balancing my other sessions and personal life. Depending on my workload at the time it usually takes me a month or so, and I touch base to keep you updated if it might take me a little longer in order to ensure I’m giving you my best work!

New Number, Who Dis? I’m making this post to share some exciting new turn of events lately and keep you posted on where I am with sessions & photo editing! I know no one likes to read a ton of text so I’ll keep it short & sweet—

I’m making this post to share some exciting new turn of events lately and keep you posted on where I am with editing! I know no one likes to read a ton of text so I’ll keep it short & sweet:
1. I now have a work phone number that you can use to contact me! This will be the number I’d prefer to keep photography & travel-planning-related communications to: (270) 261-3839.
I have also adjusted my work hours to Tuesday - Friday 10AM - 5PM so I can better balance work and taking care of my family. If you contact me outside those hours don’t think I am ignoring you— my New Year’s resolution this year has been to work on better self-discipline and part of that is setting boundaries and sticking to them, so this is me practicing it.
2. Speaking of travel planning, in case I haven’t shared with you yet I am now a travel agent with The Charming Travel Company! You can find out more & contact me for travel planning help at my number above or here: Meggie with TCTCo.

This time last year, Leah and I were in a little production called ‘FRANKENSTEIN by Nick Dear’ together with the Far Off Broadway Players, our local community theatre group. She played Elizabeth, Victor Frankenstein’s fiancé, and I played the Female Creature (or “bride of Frankenstein” if you will 😆). It was a blast, and Leah is the sweetest friend and guide during my first ever production and time on the stage.
Needless to say, I’m here for you should you should you need new headshots or want a boost of self-confidence! ✨
